Environmental LCA and socio-economic impacts

The objective of WP5 is to monitor and assess the environmental, economic, and social impact of the considered value chains. The results will be used to identify hot spots for potential improvements and will be compared with fossil reference systems to allow comparison with conventional products. This is important to show the improved environmental and social performance of the biobased products. In MISCOMAR+ a focus will be on social impacts, e.g. creation of jobs in de-industrialized and rural areas and food security by avoiding biomass production on arable land. Biodiversity will also be considered. Specific policy recommendations will be developed for HM contaminated land in Poland.
